Shiny Toys!!!!

Well obviously I was a good boy as Santa has made a special late delivery and emptied his sack everywhere, oh what a mess! lol So all more forgeworld goodies have turned up so I can make a start on building some sternguard and making a start on a currently TOP SECRET project.

Well i've got some progress to report that isn't just yellow, though I have tidied up its borders with the black as seen here.

I've also worked through getting the edge highlights on the black sorted.

Also painted up the eagle on the front and worked up the cupola vision block lenses.

So just need to tidy the lenses up, paint in the headlights and pop on some transfers/insignia, then its finally dullcote time.  All that will be left after that is the metallics and making a crazy base for it.

More yellow you say?

Well after a quick paint session I've nearly got the yellow finished barring around the hunter killer missile. I've started cutting in with black again ready to paint in the non-metallic details and highlight the black areas ready to dullcote. This kills the shine leaving the areas nice and flat. I leave the metallics till after so as to not dull these down aswell.

Last night I ordered some MK V armour from forgeworld along with some weapon packs, I'll be combining these with parts from Severrin Loths bodyguard to make the Sternguard unit this vehicle belongs to so will get some Wip shots up as soon as I can after the bits arrive.

Not a great update but trying to make sure I get on with this project.

So these guys plus booze distracted me over christmas, only looking to achieve a tabletop standard for these so I can get an army knocked out without too much hassle so when it comes to getting these based don't expect too much.
